 Route 28 56 70 84 |
Saturday, May 10 & Sunday, May 11 beginning at 5:00 a.m.
Torresdale & Cottman bus loop will be closed beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 until maintenance work is completed.
Bus route 28, 56, 70 and 84 riders will board buses at alternate locations. Signs will be posted for these temporary boarding locations and SEPTA Supervisors will be on site to assist with customer concerns. | |

Saturday, May 10 & Sunday, May 11 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Bus route G riders will experience a detour in the area of Cardinal Avenue between City Avenue and Overbrook Avenue for scheduled graduation ceremonies.
Buses will travel around the detour area over Drexel Road to 59th Street before resuming the normal route.
Customers transferring to the Route 65 may do so at Drexel Road & City Avenue. | |

The annual Susan G. Kormen Race For The Cure will take place this Mother's Day in and around the Art Museum and Ben Franklin Parkway area. The event will force the closure of numerous streets including:
- Kelly Drive between Fairmount Ave and Eakins Oval
- Ben Franklin Parkway between 16th & 23rd Street
- 15th Street between Race Street & J.F.K. Blvd.
- 16th Street between Race Street & Market Street
- 20th Street between Ben Franklin Pkwy & Market St.
- J.F.K. Blvd. between 15th Street & Schuylkill Avenue
| Please remember these road closures and bus detours are subject to change. Customers are asked to be mindful of detour signs posted at your bus stop along the affected routes.
The City of Philadelphia may require street closures and route detours on Saturday, May 10 beginning at 12 Noon for event set-up.

 Route 40 42 |
Saturday, May 10 & Sunday, May 11 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Bus route 40 and 42 riders will experience a detour in the area of Spruce Street between 34th Street and 40th Street for college move out day.
Westbound route 40 buses will travel around the detour area by remaining on Walnut Street and turning right at 38th Street to resume the normal route.
Eastbound route 40 buses will travel around the detour area over 40th Street to Baltimore Avenue, then 38th Street/University Avenue, Convention Center Blvd. and 33rd Street before resuming the normal route.
Route 42 buses will travel around the detour area over 38th Street/University Avenue, Baltimore Avenue, and 42nd Street. | |

Bus route 9 and 35 riders will experience a detour in the area of Ridge Avenue between Fountain Street and Hermitage Street for an annual car show.
Buses will travel around the detour area over Livezey Street, Valley Avenue, Henry Avenue and Leveringon Street (southbound) or Dupont Street (northbound) before resuming the normal route. | |

Market-Frankford Owl bus riders will experience a detour in the area of 63rd Street & Market Street as work crews continue the Market Street Elevated reconstruction project around 63rd Street station. Buses will travel over 63rd Street and Marshall Road between 69th Street Terminal and Chestnut Street (eastbound) and Walnut Street (westbound). | |

Westbound bus route 39 riders will experience a detour in the area of 13th Street & Susquehanna Avenue as sewer construction takes place from street level.
Buses traveling westbound (en route to 33rd & Dauphin Street) will operate along Susquehanna Avenue to 12th Street, turn left on 12th Street, turn right on Diamond Street, right on Broad Street, and turn left on Susquehanna Avenue to resume its normal route. | |

 Route 31 64

46th Street Station Now Open as of Monday, April 14, 2008
Bus route 31 and 64 riders will be able to make connections to the Market-Frankford Line at the rebuilt, ADA accessible 46th Street Station, now open as of Monday, April 14, 2008.
Route 31 will return to its original detour routing along Chestnut Street and Walnut Street between Farragut Avenue and 63rd Street. This route includes a stop at the rebuilt 46th Street Station. Buses are still detoured around the Market Street segment of the route due to the on-going construction.
Route 31S service will be discontinued. Customers using this service are encouraged to use the Market-Frankford El to 46th Street Station or the Route 64 bus.
Route 64 will return to its original route along 46th Street between Walnut Street and Haverford Avenue. This route includes a stop at the rebuilt 46th Street Station.

 Route 23

Germantown Avenue Reconstruction detour in effect over Mt. Airy Avenue, Stenton Avenue and East Willow Grove Avenue |
Beginning January 21, 2008, northbound and southbound Route 23 bus service will be altered to accommodate ongoing PennDOT street and utility reconstruction work.
The Route 23 bus currently operates as two separate routes, weekdays between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. Buses are operating between Germantown Avenue & Westview Street (Germantown Depot) to South Philadelphia. Shuttle service will run between Chestnut Hill and Germantown & Westview (Germantown Depot). Germantown Avenue and Westview Street will be the transfer point for customers traveling between the two bus segments. Shuttle service is scheduled to operate every 15-20 minutes during the morning and afternoon rush hour, and every 30 minutes during off-peak times. Between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and on weekends, thru-bus service will operate with detour routing in effect.
Northbound Route 23 buses will detour from Germantown & Mt. Airy Ave. to Stenton Avenue to East Willow Grove Ave. Normal northbound routing will resume at Germantown & East Willow Grove Ave. Southbound Route 23 buses will detour from Germantown & East Willow Grove Ave. to Stenton Avenue to Mt. Airy Ave. Normal southbound routing will resume at Germantown & Mt. Airy Avenue.
Signs are posted at the following new and existing locations where customers will be able to board and exit Route 23 buses:
- Willow Grove at Winston
- Willow Grove at Wyndmoor
- Willow Grove at Crittenden
- Willow Grove at Stenton
- Stenton at Mermaid Lane
- Stenton at Woodbrook

40th Street Bridge Detour
revised Sunday, June 17 until further notice
Due to structural conditions on the 40th Street Bridge, the City of Philadelphia Streets Department put weight restrictions into effect on January 8, 2007. All trips on Routes 38 and 40 will operate with long-term detours. The detour routes have been revised as of Thursday, December 13, 2007. More details...
These detours will continue until work is completed to rebuild the South Street and 40th Street Bridges. |

South Street Bridge Detour
beginning Monday, January 22 until further notice
Due to structural conditions on the South Street Bridge, the City of Philadelphia Streets Department has put new weight restrictions into effect as of Monday, January 22, 2007. This requires all SEPTA buses traveling over this structure to be detoured.
