Keeping Track - Rail Riders in the Know

Tip #2 - Rider Etiquette

To help make each train trip relaxing and enjoyable for you and your fellow riders, please:

  • Set all electronic equipment including cell phones, pagers, PDA’s, handheld games, and laptops to “silent” mode

  • Keep cell phone conversations brief

  • Whether on the phone or talking to others, speak in soft tones and don’t use rude, abusive, or obscene language

  • Keep available seats free of packages and personal belongings so someone else can have a seat

  • Stow packages and large items out of the aisle

  • Keep an eye on children and don’t allow them to stand on seats or run in the aisle

  • Keep your feet off the seats

  • Do not smoke or bring open alcohol containers on train

  • Take all trash and newspapers when leaving and dispose in a proper receptacle

Please remember to allow all exiting passengers to get off the train first before boarding. Thank you for riding SEPTA.
