18th ANNUAL SAC AWARDS NIGHT TO HONOR CCT, SEPTA OPERATORS

The 18th Annual SEPTA Advisory Committee for Accessible Transportation (SAC) Award ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2008 at SEPTA Headquarters, 1234 Market Street. Sponsored by SAC and Freedom Valley Disability Center, the event honors SEPTA operators, CCT Connect paratransit operators and support personnel for “exceptional service to riders with disabilities”.  Customers using SEPTA and CCT Connect nominate honorees. This is the fourth straight year Freedom Valley has co-sponsored the event. More than 50 operators and support staff were honored last year. Highlight of the evening are the presentations to the SEPTA “Operator of The Year” and the CCT Connect “Driver of The Year”.

Among those expected to attend are new SEPTA General Manager, Joseph Casey, CCT Connect Chief Operating Officer, James Foley, and representatives from SEPTA operating districts and CCT Connect carriers.
