November 1, 2006
PHILADELPHIA, PA — SEPTA will operate shuttle buses in place of trolleys on Route 102 between Clifton-Aldan and Sharon Hill Stations for three weekends in November and the first weekend in December due to a track improvement project.
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day on Saturdays and Sundays for three consecutive weekends, from November 4 through November 19 and on the weekend of December 2-3, normal trolley service will operate between 69th Street Terminal and Clifton-Aldan Station. Riders will transfer to the shuttle buses to travel between Clifton-Aldan and Sharon Hill. The shuttle buses will operate as closely as possible to regular trolley schedules.
Regular Route 102 trolley service will operate between 69th Street Terminal and Sharon Hill Station on Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 25-26).
The SEPTA track improvement project will replace more than 600 1970’s-era rail crossties. In addition, the trolley track will be realigned to provide for a quieter, safer and smoother ride for passengers. Repairs to the drainage system within the work area will also be performed.
