SEPTA Opens New Center City Customer Service and Sales Office in "Customized PCC Trolley"

PHILADELPHIA, PA — If you need a transit card to take advantage of the special SEPTA fares available for seniors; to purchase SEPTA passes or tokens; to acquire information about how to use SEPTA to travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, or to offer a comment about SEPTA's services or personnel, SEPTA has a convenient new option for you. The new Sales Office at 1234 MarketThe new SEPTA Customer Service and Sales Office now open in the lobby of SEPTA's Center City Headquarters at 1234 Market Street offers a one-stop shop that provides all of the services riders need to best take advantage of the regions largest transit system.

The new eye-catching offices are located in a customized replica of an original 1947 Presidential Conference Committee (PCC II) trolley car, complete with the winged insignia and the green and cream paint combination of SEPTA's predecessor, the Philadelphia Transportation Company. Original equipment from original PCC cars was included in the design and construction of the facility including headlights, marker lights and trolley seats.

In the new Customer Service Office, open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, SEPTA riders and prospective customers will find well-versed customer service agents trained and equipped to provide information about SEPTA's bus, trolley and train services, schedules and fares. Riders can also obtain Senior Free Fare Cards and Reduced Fare Cards at the Customer Service Office.

From the Sales Office, open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, riders can purchase various SEPTA sales instruments including tokens, weekly and monthly TransPasses and TrailPasses and DayPasses. Payments accepted include cash, Transit Cheks, transportation benefit cards and vouchers in addition to VISA or MasterCard.
