SEPTA Broad Street Line Service Scores With Expected Excellent O.T. Performance For T.O.'s Return To Town For Eagles/Cowboys Game SEPTA is the best way to avoid expected traffic backup October 5, 2006 SEPTA Broad Street Line service operates on-time 99% of the time. It is a sure bet that fans driving to the game over I-95 or Broad Street for T.O.'s return will spend considerably more time maneuvering through traffic than enjoying the game. About 9,000 fans used Broad Street Line service to the Eagles-Packer Monday Night Football game on October 2. To avoid the rush, riders are urged to purchase tokens (two for $2.60) well ahead of time at any SEPTA sales location. For the game, scheduled to kick-off at 4:15 p.m., Broad Street Line Sports Express trains will operate from Fern Rock Transportation Center about every 10 minutes from 1:30 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. Sports Express trains stop only at the Olney Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race‑Vine, City Hall and Walnut‑Locust Stations en route to Pattison Station and Lincoln Financial Field. The express trip from City Hall takes only about eight minutes. Local trains take only 11 minutes to travel to the Sports Complex from City Hall. After the events, local and express trains will be standing by to provide northbound service to Fern Rock. Local Broad Street Line trains also operate about every 12 minutes or less throughout the day. In addition, Eagles fans driving into Center City can park at any one of five city-owned parking lots for only $5.00 where they can purchase two SEPTA tokens ($2.60). It is only a short walk to the Broad Street Line City Hall Station where they will be able to catch scheduled southbound train service to the stadium. The parking lots include: ·AutoPark - JFK Plaza Garage - 15th & Arch Streets ·AutoPark - Center City Lot - 15th & Arch Streets ·Gateway Garage - 15th & Vine Streets ·AutoPark - Gallery Mall - 10th & Filbert Streets ·AutoPark - Jefferson - 10th & Ludlow Streets The SEPTA Broad Street Line is the best route to several other sporting events at the Sports Complex this weekend including the Philadelphia Phantoms hockey game at Wachovia Center at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 6; the Temple-Kent State football game at Lincoln Financial Field at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, and the Philadelphia Flyers-New York Rangers game at the Wachovia Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
