SEPTA to Operate Sports Express Service to Thursday's Football Game

August 8, 2006

PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTA Broad Street Line "Sports Express" service is set for the Philadelphia Eagles/Cleveland Browns pre-season football game at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10 at Lincoln Financial Field.

SEPTA Broad Street Line Sports Express trains will leave Fern Rock Transportation Center every ten minutes between 6:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. en route to Pattison Station and Lincoln Financial Field.

Broad Street Line service remains the best way for Eagles fans to avoid time-consuming gridlock and costly parking in the area of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.

Broad Street Line Sports Express trains leave from Fern Rock Transportation Center and stop only at Olney Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut-Locust Stations en route to Pattison Station and the Sports Complex.

The express trip from City Hall to the Sports Complex takes only about eight minutes. Local and express Broad Street Line trains are also in service throughout the day.

To make the subway trip even more convenient, SEPTA will open the lower level platform at Pattison Station before and after the game allowing for easier travel into and out of the station. Trains will also be standing by to provide local and express service back to Fern Rock after the game.
