PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTA will operate local and express shuttle buses in place of midday train service on the R2 Warminster Regional Rail Line for approximately four months beginning Monday, August 7 due to a railroad maintenance project.

The shuttle buses will be in operation for inbound train service between Warminster and Glenside Stations as well as outbound train service between Jenkintown and Warminster Stations from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on weekdays only.

New R2 Warminster schedule supplements in effect during the project are available at Market-East, Suburban and 30th Street Stations and SEPTA sales offices. The supplements are also available online.

SEPTA regularly performs various maintenance projects to improve reliability and provide more efficient service for riders. SEPTA will remove vegetation, replace railroad ties, resurface track and perform other maintenance procedures during this project.

*For inbound travel (to Philadelphia) – local shuttle buses will leave Warminster Station at 22 minutes after the hour from 9:22 a.m. until 2:22 p.m. and make stops at Hatboro, Willow Grove, Crestmont, Roslyn, and Ardsley Stations en route to Glenside Station. Passengers can transfer to regular train service at Glenside Station to continue the trip to Center City Philadelphia. Express shuttle buses will leave Warminster at 24 minutes after the hour from 9:24 a.m. until 2:24 p.m. and make stops at Hatboro and Willow Grove en route to Glenside. Regular inbound R2 train service from Warminster will resume with the trip scheduled to leave Warminster Station at 3:44 p.m.

*For outbound travel (to Warminster) – passengers will board trains from Center City to Elkins Park Station and transfer to shuttle buses at Jenkintown for travel to Warminster. Both local and express buses will leave Jenkintown Station at five minutes after the hour from 9:05 a.m. until 2:05 p.m.

Local buses will make stops at Glenside, Ardsley, Roslyn, Crestmont, Willow Grove, Hatboro and Warminster Stations while express buses will stop only at Willow Grove, Hatboro and Warminster. Through train service to Warminster will resume with the R2 train scheduled to leave Suburban Station at 2:35 p.m.
