SEPTA to Operate Saturday Shuttle Bus Service on a portion of
R5 Lansdale/Doylestown Line

PHILADELPHIA, PA – SEPTA will operate shuttle buses on a portion of the R5 Lansdale-Doylestown Line on Saturday, July 29 due to the reconstruction of the road grade crossing on Cowpath Road near the Fortuna Station.
For inbound service (to Philadelphia), buses will leave Doylestown 11 minutes after the hour between 6:11 a.m. and 9:11 p.m. with the last bus departing Doylestown at 10:42 p.m.The shuttle buses will make stops at or near Del Val College, New Britain, Chalfont, Link Belt, Colmar and Fortuna Stations before connecting with trains at Lansdale.
For outbound service (to Doylestown) passengers will board regularly scheduled trains from Center City Philadelphia. Riders traveling beyond Lansdale, however, will transfer to shuttle buses to continue to Doylestown.
SEPTA has posted notices at stations along the line indicating the actual shuttle bus stop locations. Passengers are advised to plan accordingly as the shuttle buses may add up to 20 minutes to each trip.
Due to the construction project, Cow Path Road near the Fortuna Station will be closed to automobile traffic from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28 through 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 30.
Westbound traffic will be detoured onto North Broad Street, Bethlehem Pike, East Orvilla Road and back to Cowpath Road. Eastbound traffic will be detoured onto East Orvilla Road, Bethlehem Pike, North Broad Street and back to Cowpath Road.
