Schedules Change For SEPTA City Transit And Suburban Transit Routes

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Schedules will change on Sunday, June 18, for a number of SEPTA City Transit Division and Suburban Transit Division Frontier District bus and trolley routes.In addition, a number of Suburban Transit Division Victory District schedules will change on Monday, June 19.
New timetables are available now at SEPTA sales offices, on vehicles and at SEPTA transportation districts. The schedules will also be available on the SEPTA web site. For additional information riders should call the SEPTA Travel Information Center at (215) 580-7800.
Significant changes on SEPTA City Transit Division bus routes include:
• Route 11 - shuttle buses will operate in place of trolley service between 49th Street & Woodland Avenue and 9th & Main Streets in Darby from June 19 to September 2 due to a SEPTA track improvement project.
• Route 24 – the current 5:30 p.m. weekday trip from Frankford Transportation Center (FTC) to Fox Chase Road & Huntingdon Pike has been extended to 2nd Street & Knowles Avenue.
• Route 31S – the West Philadelphia shuttle bus service operating between 52nd & Chestnut Streets and 60th & Market Streets will be discontinued due to low ridership.
• Route 46 – weekday and weekend service will now operate to the 56th Street El Station instead of 60th Street Station which is closed and under construction as part of the Market Street Elevated Reconstruction Project (MSE).
• Route 64 – on weekdays and weekends the bus route will now operate over Washington Avenue between Columbus Boulevard and Grays Ferry Avenue.
• Route C – all weekday Sheaff Lane trips have been discontinued. Riders can use bus Route 68 service as an alternative.
Changes to Suburban Transit Division Frontier District routes include:
• Route 91 – On Saturdays, trips will leave Norristown Transportation Center for Graterford State Prison hourly from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Route 92 – all weekday and Saturday trips will now serve the West Chester Transportation Center.
• Route 127 - a new weekday evening trip will leave Oxford Valley Mall for Sesame Place at 8:15 p.m.In addition, a new Saturday trip will leave Oxford Valley Mall at 8:20 p.m. en route to Sesame Place.The Saturday trip scheduled to leave Neshaminy Mall for Trenton at 6:15 a.m. and the trip scheduled to operate from Trenton at 7:30 p.m. have been cancelled.
• Route 130 – Saturday service to Bucks County Community College has been discontinued due to low ridership. In addition, all northbound service will now operate to the Village of Newtown Shopping Center.
Changes to Suburban Transit Division Victory District bus and trolley routes include:
• Routes 101 and 102 (the Media and Sharon Hill trolley lines) -- weekday mid-day service has been altered between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. due to construction between 69th Street Terminal and Drexel Hill Junction.
• Route 103 – weekday service after 6 p.m. has been improved to provide better connections with bus Route 44 service in Ardmore.
• Route 104 – four new weekday trips will operate from Newtown Square Corporate Center en route to 69th Street between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. In addition, a number of afternoon trips from West Chester will provide "Express" service to 69th Street Terminal bypassing Newtown Square Corporate Campus.
• Route 120 – weekday schedules have been revised to provide improved service to Cheyney University.
• Route 123 – on weekdays and weekends operating times have been altered due to construction on highway Route I-476.In addition, a new Saturday evening trip will leave King of Prussia Mall en route to 69th Street Terminal at 9:45 p.m.
In addition, there will be some schedule changes to service on bus Routes 37, 68, 70, 105, 106, 115, 116, 124, 128, 129 and 310.
