SEPTA Broad Street "Sports Express" Service Ready And Set For Broad Street Run This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA, PA – SEPTA will provide special Broad Street Line "Sports Express" service for the 27th Annual Blue Cross Broad Street 10-Mile Run scheduled for Sunday, May 7.

SEPTA will offer every competitor a free ride on the Broad Street Line to the race starting line at Broad Street & Somerville Avenue. The race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and all participants are invited to ride the subway to the Olney Transportation Center (Broad Street & Olney Avenue), near the race starting point. Runners must display their official competitor bib number upon entry at any Broad Street Line Station to ride free.

Starting at 5:15 a.m. six Broad Street Line Sports Express trains will be added to the regular Saturday schedule for the race. Regular local trains will also be in service throughout the morning.

Sports Express trains stop only at Pattison, Walnut‑Locust, City Hall, Race‑Vine, Spring Garden, Girard, and Erie Stations en route to the Olney Transportation Center.
