PHILADELPHIA, PA — SEPTA will operate regular Market-Frankford Line train service this weekend (March 30-April 2) and Easter weekend (April 6-8) allowing continuous travel for riders commuting between 69th Street Terminal and the Frankford Transportation Center.
SEPTA has been using weekend shuttle bus service between 69th Street Terminal and 40th Street Station due to the Market Street Elevated (MSE) reconstruction project. Shuttle buses are scheduled to return to operate on this part of the line during the weekend of April 13-16.
MSE is rebuilding the western portion of the Market-Frankford Line between 46th & Market Streets in West Philadelphia and Millbourne in Delaware County. It includes the reconstruction of 46th Street, 52nd Street, 56th Street, 60th Street and 63rd Street Stations in West Philadelphia and Millbourne Station in Delaware County.
The construction project will also replace 11,000 feet of the guideway between Millbourne Station and 46th Street with a new single-column bent structure which will open up Market Street and significantly improve the flow of traffic.
SEPTA information is available online or by calling (215) 580-7800.
