PHILADELPHIA, PA - College basketball fans can make a fast break to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Wachovia Center this weekend aboard quick and convenient SEPTA Broad Street Line trains.
Tournament games are scheduled in Philadelphia on Friday, March 17 and Sunday, March 19. SEPTA will operate special Broad Street Line “Sports Express” trains at 6:15 p.m., 6:25 p.m., and 6:35 p.m. from Fern Rock Transportation Center en route to Pattison Station for Friday’s evening games. Sports Express trains will also depart Fern Rock at 1:28 p.m. & 1:38 p.m. and at 4:18 p.m. & 4:28 p.m. for Sunday’s scheduled games.
In addition to the Sports Express trains, SEPTA operates regular Broad Street Line express and local train service in operation about every 12 minutes or less throughout the day. The Broad Street Line offers fast service and unbeatable convenience without any traffic delays or parking costs.
For fans connecting to the Broad Street Line in Center City via SEPTA’s regional rail system, parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays at most regional rail station lots and all SEPTA city TransPasses become "Anywhere Passes" on Saturdays and Sundays valid for travel on all SEPTA routes.
