Route 100 and 69th Street Terminal Centennial Celebration
SEPTA is celebrating the 100 year anniversary of 69th Street Terminal and the Route 100 Norristown High Speed Line.  A centennial celebration ceremony will be held at the 69th Street Terminal Grand Hall on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. and festivities will continue from 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m.  There will be refreshments, a historical display and live music.  Visitors are also invited to take a Free Ride on the scenic Route 100 Norristown High Speed Line from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The 69th Street Terminal Customer Service Office will also be open from 8 a.m until 4 p.m. 

SEPTA's Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Service Plan Public Hearings
SEPTA proposes to conduct public hearings regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Service Plan.  The proposed Annual Service Plan includes changes to the following SEPTA routes: City Transit Division Routes G, 38, 44, 52, 57, 77, 88 and 121; and Suburban Division Routes 93, 95, 99, 111, 113, 115, 117, 118, 119 and the proposed creation of Route 139.

Market Street Elevated Progress Updates
Signs of progress continuously show along the Market Street Elevated construction corridor as Summer approaches.  Nearly 85% of the project work is complete, keeping us on track to be substantially completed by the end of this year.  More...

Updated Bus Detours
Attention Bus Riders, SEPTA has updated how it presents its Bus Detour Information on the web.  The updated Bus Detour page not only shows more information, but it is updated every 5 minutes, so you get the latest information.  Bus Detours are also available as RSS feeds, so you can add them to you favorite RSS reader.  Finally, there is also a wireless version available so you can get bus detours from your cell phone, or other mobile device.

Updated Senior and Disabled Fares
SEPTA has recently updated its information about Senior and Disabled Fares.  Customers can now review the application process necessary to receive a valid Transit ID card.  Qualifying individuals under the age of 65, with a valid Medicare Card or physician authorization, may submit an application for a Reduced Transit Fare Card.  Persons' age 65 and older may request a Senior Citizen Transit Card.

Additional Rail service for the "Race for the Cure" Event
To improve service for riders bound for the "Race for the Cure," SEPTA will be providing additional service on May 11, 2008. An extra inbound train, departing Elwyn at 6:22 AM and arriving at Suburban Station at 6:57 AM will be available on the Media/Elwyn (R3).  Regional rail trains will also add cars to all of its trains to provide a more comfortable ride to the Race.  The Route 101 Trolley will be adding an extra round trip that departs 69th Street Terminal at 5:25 AM and arrives at Orange Street at 5:47 AM, then departing Orange Street at 5:55 AM and arriving at 69th Street Terminal at 6:22 AM.  Finally, to better serve our customers, additional crews will be assigned to Regional Rail trains.  For more information on the Event, please visit www.komenphiladelphia.org.

Regional Rail Schedule Previews
SEPTA has posted previews of Regional Rail Schedule that will go into effect May 11, 2008.  Please remember schedules posted here may still be subject to change before the posted effective date.  Text schedules will be posted online when the schedules take effect.  Paper schedules are available in our terminals, sales locations and through Customer Service (215-580-7800) days prior to the effective date.

Public Meeting regarding SEPTA’s 2009 Annual DBE Goal
A public meeting is being held on Friday, May 23, to provide disadvantaged businesses and other business enterprises, public agencies, and elected officials and interested individuals an opportunity to offer comments. The purpose of the meeting is to receive input regarding SEPTA’s 2009 Annual DBE Goal.  This input will be considered during the preparation of the Authority’s Federal Fiscal Year 2009 DBE Goal and Methodology.   Register for this public meeting.
