SEPTA Assists K9 Classroom
This weekend, SEPTA officials joined with regional 4-H dog trains to provide a real world "class room" experience.  Over twenty K-9 "students" (dog in training) boarded the Paoli (R5) Regional Rail as a way start learning the complex task of being the eyes and ears of those they assist.  Understanding and responding to situations on the SEPTA system can be challenging for the animals as well as the individuals they assist.


SEPTA Contributes to the Philly Spring Clean Up

Over 300 SEPTA employees and their friends and family turned out to join the April 5th Philly Spring Clean Up.  Groups of volunteers labored to clean the areas surrounding 13 SEPTA work locations and contributed to the removal of 2.56 million pounds of trash that was collected that day.


SEPTA Sponsors Clean Air Run
As part of the Earth Day celebration, eight Go Green Go SEPTA teams participated in the Clean Air Run.  Additionally, a special SEPTA hybrid "Earth Day" bus was on site adorned with posters for participants to sign at the end of the race.  The run, which had approximately 2,000 participants, helps raise awareness for clean air work that is going on in our area. 



Community Meeting for Route 11 Trolley Track Renewal Project
SEPTA plans to excavate, renew and pave approximately 4,000 feet of eastbound and westbound tracks on Woodland Avenue from 60th Street to 68th Street.  A Community Meeting regarding the renewal project will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 6p.m.  The meeting will be held at the 12th Police District Station Roll Call Room, 65th and Woodland Avenue.
