Regional Rail Updates: weekly & monthly trailpasses available on your key card |  July 1, 2019
Now that TrailPasses for all Zones can be purchased on a SEPTA Key Card, the sale of legacy Weekly and Monthly TrailPasses* will be phased out as follows:

Zones 3 and 4

Weekly Passes

  • August 12 Weekly Zone 3&4 TrailPasses ONLY available on a SEPTA Key Card
  • August 5-11 – last legacy Weekly Pass available for sale

Monthly Passes

  • October Monthly Zone 3&4 TrailPasses ONLY available on a SEPTA Key Card
  • September – last legacy Monthly Pass available for sale

*Does not apply to customers purchasing Monthly Parking Permits. Does not apply to customers purchasing Monthly TrailPasses through ComPass, WageWorks, Wired Commute, or other corporate programs providing passes directly to customers.

Zones 1 and 2

Weekly Passes

  • September 9 Weekly Zone 1&2 TrailPasses ONLY available on a SEPTA Key Card
  • September 2- 8 – last legacy Weekly Pass available for sale

Monthly Passes

  • November Monthly Zone 1&2 TrailPasses ONLY available on a SEPTA Key Card
  • October – last legacy Monthly Pass available for sale

SEPTA Key Cards are available for purchase at:

  • SEPTA Regional Rail Sales Offices at Temple, Jefferson, Suburban, and 30th Street Station
  • Fare Kiosks at Temple, Jefferson, Suburban, 30th Street, University City Regional Rail Stations, and Airport Regional Rail Line Terminal platforms at Philadelphia International Airport
  • Select External Retail Locations

    Other SEPTA Key & Regional Rail News

    • All of the Fare Kiosks at Center City Regional Rail Stations, outside of the fareline, are now in operation
    • As of July 8th, Conductors stopped accepting $50 & $100 bills for on board cash sales. The largest denomination they will now accept is $20.00

    • Effective September 3, 2019, Conductor sales of One Day Individual Independence Passes will end. Paper Independence Passes will still be available at Regional Rail Stations or they can be purchased on a SEPTA Key Card
